Geddie Hoping for Home Joy

31 August, 2010

Aberdeen's Glynn Geddie will be back in the hot seat of his Team Parker Racing Porsche 911 GT3 this weekend as the Porsche Carrera Cup GB pays a visit to Knockhill for his home race for Rounds 15 and 16 of the championship.

Just over a year ago at Knockhill last season, the 20 year-old shone in wet conditions to bring the car home in 2nd position overall while on his way to winning the Pro-Am 1 championship. Now fighting in the Pro category Geddie has demonstrated he has the pace to upset Tim Harvey (Redline Racing) and Michael Caine (Motorbase Performance), who have between them won every race so far this season.

Despite finishing in 6th and 5th position at the last two rounds at Silverstone last time out, having topped the timesheets in testing, Apex Tubulars-backed Geddie is hoping to jump on the top step of the podium this weekend and gain momentum as the season enters its' closing stages.

Glynn Geddie:
"Although Silverstone didn't go according to plan we still made progress with the car which we hope to carry through to Knockhill, so we're heading in the right direction. We are testing there tomorrow (Wednesday) and have to continue pushing to keep up with the developments we've made and carry it through the weekend.

"Redline and Motorbase are the only teams to have won so far this season and I'm determined to be the one to add Team Parker Racing to that list. It won't be easy, especially with how close it is at the front, but Knockhill is a circuit I love coming to and having the extra support at your home race will makes it very special."
