Aberdonian racing driver Glynn Geddie and co-driver Dan Brown fly out to Spain this week as they gear up for Rounds 5 and 6 of the FIA GT3 European Championship at Navarra this weekend.
The AF Corse pairing have had a mixed opening few races to the season so far and have had to contend with reliability issues with their Apex Tubulars and STP-backed Ferrari 458 Italia which has left them unable to reflect their front-running pace in their results, but both drivers remain positive after claiming P4 in the second of the two races at Silverstone last time out.
In the first four rounds of the season, Geddie and Brown have managed to pick up 12 points for their campaign, despite having to retire the car in two of those races - and on one of those occasions when they were on for a win in the first race at Silverstone.
This weekend however, the youngest driver pairing on the FIA GT3 European grid are optimistic, having tested at Navarra pre-season, and will be out to do all they can to turn their fortunes around and convert their pace into two solid results.
"I don't see any reason why we can't achieve some good results this weekend. We made a big step forward at Silverstone and we have been working closely with the team since to ensure the development with the car has continued.
"We've had a bit of bad luck and haven't had the perfect start to the season but we are encouraged by the pace and potential we have shown.
"We have some data from the pre-season test so we have a starting point to work from. A podium, and possibly even a win, wasn't far off at Silverstone so we know this is what we can realistically aim for."
