Current BWRDC (British Women Racing Drivers’ Club) Champion and GoldStars winner, Sarah Reader, has been invited to attend the Chelsea AutoLegends Festival this weekend.
A feature in the show, held at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, will be the celebration of the BWRDC’s 50th anniversary, and the success and influence of women in motorsport. Reader, who is racing in the SPEED EuroSeries this season, will also take part in the BWRDC ‘Castrol Women in Motorsport’ parade, supported by HR Owen, at 10.30am this Sunday (2nd September).
The show is expected to attract more than 500 collectors’ cars, motorcycles and racing cars from all eras. Other guests of the show include five-time Le Mans winner, Derek Bell, model and racing driver, Jodie Kidd, and the Marussia F1 Team.
“I’m really looking forward to the show and I’m delighted to be a part of it, and celebrate 50 years of the BWRDC and the importance of their role in motorsport. There’s going to be plenty to see and it will be a great opportunity to check out some iconic cars from the past and present.
“I’m looking forward to meeting many new faces so please come and say hello and take a look around the car.
“I’m sure it’s going to be a successful event and I hope that in the process we can raise funds and awareness for the ‘Royal Hospital Chelsea’ and ‘Walking with the Wounded’ charities.”
