After back-to-back wins at his home race at Knockhill ten days ago, Glynn Geddie is on a roll as the Porsche Carrera Cup GB series heads to Silverstone this weekend.
The Aberdeen-born charger has excelled with class wins in the previous two rounds at Snetterton and Knockhill and by doing so, has sling-shotted from 4th to 2nd in the Pro-Am 1 category, in hot pursuit of current leader Robert Lawson.
Having endured a trying first half of the season, Apex Tubulars-backed Geddie was 39 points adrift of Lawson. However, after the summer break, the spark re-ignited and the Team Parker Racing protégé has dominated the Pro-Am 1 championship with his 'all-out' driving style to squash that gap to just 13 points, as the championship nears its close.
"It's a crucial stage in the championship now so it's imperative we get every point we can over our rivals", underlined Geddie. "We're in a very strong position now, so as long as we can build on the form we've been displaying, stay focused and keep it together, there's no reason why we can't go for two more wins this weekend."
Qualifying will take place on Saturday at 11.55 - 12.25 with Race 1 on the same day at 16.20, not only in support of the MSA British Touring Car Championship but also the World Aerobatic Championship. The Carrera Cup GB field are scheduled to attack Silverstone's National circuit for a second dose with Race 2 on Sunday at 13.15.
Live TV coverage of the meeting will be broadcast on ITV4 between 11.00 and 17.30 on Sunday.
