Walker Eyes Return to Form at Brands Hatch

24 August, 2011

The InterSteps Championship pays a visit to Brands Hatch, Kent this Bank Holiday weekend for the penultimate meeting of the season, and Fortec Motorsport's Alex Walker is relishing the chance to show what he can do in the final six races.

The 16-year-old from Oldham has enjoyed much success this season, with 3 wins and 10 podiums, but came away from Thruxton last time out slightly disappointed with 5th, 4th and 3rd place finishes, and he is determined to make up for it in this weekend's triple header on the Indy circuit.

Alex Walker:
"The championship is still wide open and I'm completely motivated to make a hard push in the final six races of the season.

"The last two meetings at Donington and Thruxton weren't ideal for us and, although I came away with three podiums in those six races, the focus is to give it everything and get back on the top step.

"We're in a good position to mount a challenge for the championship and there are a lot of points to play for, so really I'm looking forward to kicking off the weekend with Friday's test."
