One of the biggest collections of supercars the North-east has ever seen is set to gather to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
Around 40 exotic cars including Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Aston Martins, Bentleys and Porsches will meet to form part of the Super CLAN drive on Sunday, August 14.
The event is being organised by prestige oil and gas recruitment specialists Scoro Solutions in aid of cancer charity CLAN Cancer Support.
The fund raising drive, which will also feature Aberdeen racing driver Glynn Geddie, will follow a route toward the Bridge Of Gairn, and then pass through Union Street between 3pm and 4pm on the final leg of the route.
Duncan Charles, fund- raising coordinator at CLAN, today paid tribute to the Scoro Solutions directors Scott Shand and Ross Gatt who have been the driving forces behind the fund raising effort.
"We're extremely grateful to Scoro Solutions for coming forward to show their support to CLAN by volunteering to plan such an exciting event," he said.
"I've got no doubt we'll be inundated with people wanting to take part and hopefully we can raise a significant amount of money.
"They've even offered to reward some of our clients and volunteers with the opportunity to enjoy a drive in one of the supercars."
Scoro director Scott Shand said he is looking forward to the event and also revealed the reasons why they've decided to raise vital funds for the charity.
"We're absolutely delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile cause especially as cancer is an illness that affects so many different people in so many different ways," said Scott.
"We've already had strong interest from a number of our business contacts who want to get involved and it will be quite a sight to see all the cars in procession at the fund raising car drive."
CLAN is an independent charity for anyone affected by any type of cancer at any time from diagnosis onwards.
Whether affected personally, as a carer, family member or close friend, the services are always available covering Grampian, Orkney and Shetland.
