Reigate racing driver Nick Padmore and Belgian team mate Jean-Lou Rihon look set to make an impact on the 2009 French V de V Championship with the pair signing for Norma UK.
The duo decided to jump aboard the French prototype manufacturer's UK flagship after a strong, yet frustrating, debut season in the series last year and will also compete in selected rounds of the new Speed Series, formerly known as the UK V de V Championship.
Leicester-based Norma UK will run Padmore and Rihon in the marques M20F after successful tests at Brands Hatch and Snetterton over the winter.
Their 2009 gets underway with the opening round of the French V de V Championship at Jarama, Spain on 20th - 22nd March and Padmore feels he has unfinished business after last season's woes. Last year was good but we just didn't finish as many races as we would have wanted to due to the fact the cars arrived late and we did most of our testing in the races themselves. But this year the car is ready to go and the first two tests ran very well. We are both very confident of some strong, consistent finishes this year."
Alongside his already hectic schedule, Padmore's own team, NPR, will enter a jet-black BMW 320 as an arrive-and-drive package in the thrilling and ever-popular Production BMW Championship.
