Glynn Geddie is hoping to give his season a boost as the Porsche Carrera Cup GB heads to North Yorkshire for Rounds 9 and 10 at Croft this weekend.
So far this season Apex Tubulars-backed Geddie has been chipping away at the pace of racing veterans Tim Harvey and Michael Caine, and he produced a stunning lap in qualifying at Oulton Park last time out to put himself third on the grid for Race 1, less than three-tenths off pole-sitter Harvey.
After two eventful starts, which saw Geddie threatening the front row in both races that weekend, the Aberdonian brought his Team Parker Racing entry home with 4th and 5th placed finishes, so he heads into this weekend lying 3rd in the driver standings, in front of team mates Euan Hankey and Stephen Jelley.
"We're getting closer and closer to being right at the front and at Croft we are in good shape to shake up the Harvey/Caine battle. The whole team have been working very hard and we have been strong in pre-season testing.
"Getting a decent position on the grid will be crucial as the first few corners are pretty tight, so it's easy to get tangled with other cars on the opening lap until the field spaces out a bit. Then it will be a case of conserving the tyres and knowing when to use them to their full.
"We will be pushing all weekend so it should be good and I'm looking forward to it - hopefully we can turn our hard work into two podiums."
