Geddie in the Hunt for Donington Points

14 September, 2010

BRDC Rising Star Glynn Geddie is preparing for the penultimate meeting of the 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup GB which takes place at Donington Park this weekend.

It's been a tough season so far this year but the Apex Tubulars-backed Geddie has been encouraged by his recent form, taking bites out of Tim Harvey and Michael Caine along the way.

The 20 year-old from Aberdeen had a mixed weekend at his home meeting at Knockhill last time out, grabbing his second podium of the season in Race 1 but finishing in 7th position in Race 2, after storming through the field from P12. The 27 points he collected means he has now overtaken Team Parker Racing team mate Euan Hankey to lie 4th in the drivers' standings, just 10 points behind Stephen Jelley, also from Team Parker Racing, and has his eyes firmly set on claiming third spot.

Glynn Geddie:
"Our pace is improving by the race so we are looking in good shape to get on the podium this weekend at Donington. We are building momentum and, after the podium and pace we had at Knockhill, hopefully we can continue that and bring home a strong result.

"It's too close to call between Euan (Hankey), Stephen (Jelley), and myself but the season is in its closing stages now so every point I can get my hands on is ever more important for the championship."
