Scottish racing driver Glynn Geddie will be looking for a repeat of the dominant performance he displayed at Snetterton last time out, as the Porsche Carrera Cup GB pays a visit to his home race at Knockhill this weekend.
After trouncing his rivals 10 days ago at the last double-header at Snetterton, scoring maximum points with two pole positions and two wins, Geddie significantly closed the gap on Pro-Am 1 leader, Robert Lawson, to just 18 points. Although restlessly lying 4th in the championship, a duplicate performance could see the Apex Tubulars-backed Aberdonian come away from the Fife circuit in a more commanding position of the championship, although he is well aware that nothing is set in stone, and is looking forward to racing in front of his home crowd again.
"It's always a good feeling to come back to Knockhill", commented Geddie. "They'll be a lot of support, especially from my friends and family who are coming down from Aberdeen, so naturally I'll be looking to give everyone, including myself, a result to smile about!
"This season has proved that anything can happen though - one moment you're winning, and the next you're not, and vica-versa. However, after Snetterton I can't help but feel confident and ready for the challenge."
Saturday morning's 30-minute qualifying session, which will decide both grids for Sunday's races, is scheduled to commence at 11.10, with Rounds 13 and 14 taking place on Sunday at 10.35 and 15.35 respectively. You can watch all the action unfold by tuning into ITV4 from 11.30 on Sunday morning for live coverage of the MSA British Touring Car Championship and its support races, including the ever-thrilling Porsche Carrera Cup GB.
