Aberdeen motor racing driver Glynn Geddie is out to claim some Donington delight to fire up his Porsche Carrera Cup charge.
The 21-year-old, who is running with Redline Racing this season, is ready to put a disappointing opening championship weekend at Brands Hatch behind him when he returns to action this weekend.
Geddie, who finished sixth and eighth at Brands, is confident of mounting a serious challenge for a podium place during rounds three and four of the event.
"I struggled with a few inevitable teething problems during the first race so the team has been working hard to resolve them," he said.
"I've been back in the car during a recent scheduled testing session at Thruxton and I was happier with my times there.
"Now I have to concentrate on reproducing that form when it really matters in a competitive race environment.
"It would have been nice to have started the new season on a real high but the initial early setback has given me additional motivation to really push on."
Geddie, the 2011 British GT champion in a Ferrari 458, knows he's under pressure to succeed this season if he is to fulfil his Porsche Supercup ambitions.
He added: "There's no doubt the Carrera Cup holds the key to future success and could also create opportunities if I was to impress.
"So now is the time to kick on and maintain a level of consistency before looking to mount a sustained challenge."
