Glynn Geddie heads to Northampton this weekend to take his place in the toughest round of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship so far, the two-hour endurance on Silverstone's Grand Prix circuit.
Having only competed in four of the seven races so far this season, Geddie is 4th in the drivers' standings and, along with Trackspeed co-driver David Ashburn, dominated Rounds 6 & 7 at Rockingham to claim the team's maiden series win.
The pair's Porsche 997 GT3R will be carrying quite a bit of success ballast and will face a strong list of entries for this weekend but with the race lasting two hours and refuelling thrown into the mix, anything can happen.
"It will be a tough race and the success ballast certainly will not help us, but there are two hours to get through so having a solid strategy will play a major part. It will be an exciting race, especially if the safety car comes into play as that could throw everyone's tactics up in the air, but reliability and consistency will be key issues too.
"We will be looking to take away any points we can from the MTECH Ferrari and keep David on top of the standings which we have the package to do. There are many factors that could affect the result of the race but we should be in contention to fight for the win."
