Aberdonian racing driver Glynn Geddie heads to the Croft circuit in Yorkshire this weekend for Rounds 9 and 10 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB.
After a troublesome outing at Oulton Park last time around, the Team Parker Racing charger is currently lying third with 62 points in the Pro-Am 1 standings, but has his eyes firmly on Robert Lawson and Tony Gilham who are running first and second respectively.
"We need to get our season back on the right path", admits Apex Tubulars-sponsored Geddie. "We had a mixed weekend at Donington and a terrible two races at Oulton which we cannot afford to repeat. We're sitting third in Pro-Am 1 at the moment knowing that we went into Donington last month leading, but I'm confident we can turn this around and pull it back - the season is by no means over."
The Croft circuit in Darlington, North Yorkshire has been used for racing ever since the 1920's but became a significant motorsport venue in the '40's after occupation as a bomber base during the Second World War. However, the circuit as we know it today only came to light in 1997 after a major transformation saw the track extended to 2.127 miles (3.423 km), and new pits, paddock complex, control tower and spectator areas were constructed - attracting the likes of the British Touring Car package and, subsequently, the Carrera Cup.
This weekend's meeting gets underway on Friday with testing, and a 30 minute qualifying session on Saturday. The two 15 lap races are scheduled to commence at 12.40 and 17.15 on Sunday afternoon and you can catch all the action as it unfolds live on ITV4 with coverage starting at 11.45am, running until 6pm.
