Aberdeen racing driver Glynn Geddie will launch a double pronged attack for glory both home and abroad this season. The 20-year-old has now signed a deal with Italian giant AF Corse to compete in the prestigious FIA European GT3 Championship this season.
Geddie has already been snapped up CRS Racing for the domestic British GT challenge and will now also test himself on the continent with AF Corse behind the wheel of a Ferrari 458 GT3.
The rising track star will race alongside Daniel Brown in one car whilst Francesco Castellacci and Federico Leo will team up in the other AF Corse Ferrari.
AF Corse has a proud history in the FIA circuit and flying Scotsman Geddie is keen to add to their tradition.
"It's a huge honour to have joined a team of AF Corse's standing," said Geddie.
"Historically they have worked with some fantastic drivers but that doesn't put any extra pressure on me.
"That simply just makes me even more determined to show what I can do and make my mark in a top class field of drivers."
After spending the winter away from the circuit Geddie is ready to return to the track with fresh vigour and enthusiasm.
He added: "I've been testing at various circuits over the past few weeks and I've been pleased with the early results.
"Obviously at this stage it is only an indication of how things might pan out over the course of the season.
"But our preparations have been positive and very professional to help give us the best possible chance of succeeding."
AF Corse team boss Amato Ferrari is relishing the opportunity to help mould Geddie's future racing career.
"We are delighted to welcome Glynn into our team and look forward to working closely with him in the forthcoming season," said Ferrari.
"He is clearly a talented young driver who we hope to nurture and develop over the coming months."
