Bell to Fight for British GT Title in 2014

06 November, 2013

Matt Bell and Mark Patterson will team up again in 2014 to complete some unfinished business in the British GT Championship. The duo will race the United Autosports Audi R8 LMS ultra in the fiercely competitive British national series.

After narrowly missing out on the title in 2013, despite storming to victory at the final round, Matt and Mark have a point to prove and a title to win.

“We all have another season of experience under our belts now so the runner up position won’t be good enough next year,” said Matt. “Mark proved to be one of the best non-professionals on the track this year so I’m excited to be partnering with him again. He didn’t know a lot of the tracks last year so the knowledge he has gained will be a big advantage for us.”

Continuity counts for a lot in motorsport and for Matt it means that he can attack from the start next year, knowing he has the backing of a strong team.

“The team is strong, the car is strong and my team-mate is strong,” he said. “We finished this season on a win so our target is to go out and start the 2014 season with another win. I’m delighted to be able to carry on my relationship with Audemars Piguet Replica United Autosports. The only problem with signing up this early is that I now can’t wait for the season to start!”

The 2014 British GT Championship gets underway at Oulton Park during Easter Weekend in April 2014.
