Porsche Carrera Cup GB front runner Glynn Geddie has announced he is to compete in Rounds 3 and 4 of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship at Knockhill this weekend. The 19 year-old BRDC Rising Star from Aberdeen will be racing under the Trackspeed banner, pairing up with team manager David Ashburn, in a 4-litre Porsche 911 GT3-R.
It was as late as Thursday afternoon that Apex Tubulars-backed Geddie was confirmed for the meeting at his home circuit in Scotland in a last minute deal, and he is keen to establish a longer-term relationship for the remainder of the season, providing none of the races clash with his Carrera Cup duties, where he currently lies 3rd in the standings.
Surrey-based Trackspeed themselves are no strangers to success and come off the back of 5th and 3rd placed finishes in Rounds 1 and 2 of the British GT Championship season-opener at Oulton Park at the beginning of April.
"It's all a bit last minute but it will be good to get behind the wheel of the GT3-R, and we should be on for a pretty strong result. David runs a very professional and efficient outfit in Trackspeed and I'm looking forward to working with everyone in the team and maintaining the form that they displayed at Oulton."
