Alex Walker Heads for Snetterton

The InterSteps Championship heads for Snetterton, Norfolk for a triple-header this weekend, and Fortec Motorsport's 16-year-old Alex Walker is looking forward to getting the action underway.

Having made an impressive car racing debut with two P2 finishes in the opening two rounds of the season at Silverstone GP back in March, Oldham's Walker hopes his form will continue as he prepares to take on the new Snetterton 200 circuit this weekend.

Alex Walker:
"I'm really looking forward to getting back to racing this weekend. We had a good test at Snetterton back in April and I feel really comfortable with the car and track now.

"Silverstone was a mega way to start the season, but it also gave me the opportunity to experience a race weekend and I learned a lot which I'll be taking with me to Snetterton. I've used the six-week break to work closely with the team and I've been training hard to make sure I'm as well prepared for the weekend as possible.

"The championship is still in the early stages so the main thing at the moment is that we stay consistent and pick up as many points as we can. I'm sure it will be a challenging three races but hopefully we will have a strong weekend and, if everything goes to plan, make the podium."
