Aberdeen's Glynn Geddie today claimed he's ready to kick his season into top gear after competing at the Total 24 of Hours of Spa.
The 21-year-old was one of just 10 talented drivers who raced in the new McLaren MP4-12C GT3 at the renowned meeting.
Geddie took part in the Pro-Am Cup category as part of the McLaren GT and VonRyan Racing team, alongside Phil Quaife, Adam Christodoulou and Roger Wills. McLaren GT entered three cars into the race as part of the development programme of the 12C GT3.
Geddie's car finished 25th overall in a field of more than 60 cars and Geddie is convinced rubbing shoulders with some of the world's top endurance drivers can only give his career a further boost.
"It was a fantastic experience and competing in another race of that standard can only be good for my long term development," said Geddie.
"The new McLaren was fantastic to drive and just being selected alongside some esteemed company is for me it's a positive step forward.
"When you consider this was the 12C GT3's first ever 24 hour endurance race finishing in 25th is a great achievement.
"I'm delighted I got some quality track time in and I can now look ahead to returning to my other disciplines."
Geddie returns to FIA GT3 action for AF Corse alongside Dan Brown in Slovakia on Sunday, August 21. That's before he again joins forces with his dad Jim for CRS Racing in the British GT championship at the start of September.
